Katherine was raised in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland and grew up inspired by the surrounding Great Appalachian Valley and Chesapeake Bay Estuary. After receiving her degree in Communications from the University of Maryland in 2015, she began her WWOOFing journey and found Fiddle Farms along the way. This is where she recognized her deep passion for permaculture and sustainable living. Katherine completed her Permaculture Design + Wilderness First Responder certifications in 2020 and is excited to continue supporting the community with self-reliant systems. Her special interests include natural building methods, regenerative agriculture, and holistic health + wellness. When she is not tending to the land she enjoys hiking in the gorge, designing floral arrangements, playing classical guitar, and exploring the many facets of human consciousness.
